The Ambiguity Management Instrument
The Ambiguity Management Instrument (AMI)™ (pronounced ‘Am-ee’) is designed to help people learn how to manage personal and organisational ambiguity and change in the workplace.
This involves using a unique framework which enables people to recognise the four types of problems that typically occur in complex structures, and how personal preferences can cause the selection of inappropriate solutions that may have a detrimental impact on morale and motivation.
Most people are unaware of the significant way in which their Personality DNA™ causes them to think, feel and behave during their lifetime. And as a consequence will perceive and interpret information (think & feel), and communicate their understanding of their perceptions of reality physically (behave), using psychological ‘lenses’ that bias their views of ambiguity and change.
What this means in practice is that people will automatically try to make sense of their inner and outer world experiences by looking through the lens of their LEAD Influencer™ preferences; which is what causes them to address different types of problems using solutions that their own preferences prefer, but which if different to that of others can cause greater anxiety, stress or even conflict.
