By their very nature, matrix type structures encourage the development in people of Remote and Virtual Team Working beliefs, behaviours, beliefs, knowledge and skills. Therefore the ability of people already working in a ‘matrixed’ organisation or structure typically only requires the development of remote and virtual working tools and techniques in order to be effective when operating in that form of team.
The Matrix Remote/Virtual Working Workshop therefore refreshes and reinforces matrix practices and provides specific tools and techniques that enable people to work effectively with colleagues virtually or remotely, but requires the amplification of some matrix practices that people will already be familiar with, but typically take for granted when they work more closely together (i.e. in the same building or country).
Teams attending the Matrix Remote/Virtual Working Workshop can expect to leave with:
• Clarity on Roles & Responsibilities, Processes and Practices – for their own team
• Tools and techniques that facilitate a greater tolerance for ambiguity and pro-activity towards complexity
• An agreement on how the team will resolve inter-personal and ‘business as usual’ problems
• An appreciation of the behavioural, cultural and knowledge and skill differences that exist between team
Members and how this diversity can be embraced, celebrated and leveraged
• Tools, tips and techniques that will teams to create meaningful stakeholder relationships
3 intensive Days. This Workshop can also be integrated with other Matrix Workshops or topics to create a similarly unique program.
