Further Information
Most team members will have learnt their teamwork skills from working in hierarchical organisational structures and when they first come into contact with a matrix environment they can often find it a confusing, challenging, liberating, or for some, a de-motivating experience ! This is because the fundamental beliefs, behaviours, knowledge and skills that people need to use in order to effective when working in cross-boundary project, process or international team environments typically found in matrix type structures. Are very different from those many people will have come to rely upon when working in teams in hierarchal structures. The kind of ego's, temper tantrums, silo thinking or ‘scapegoating’ activities often behaviourally tolerated in other organisations are unhelpful in collaborative, stakeholder focussed matrix type structures.
The Matrix Teamwork Workshop is challenging because it enable people to question their assumptions about what effective teamwork actually looks like, and enables them to ‘un-learn’ and ‘re-learn’, fundamental beliefs and behaviours that will help them to be personally and collectively more effective when thinking, behaving and working in a 'multi-dimensional' matrix type structure.

• Clarity on the Beliefs, Behaviours, Knowledge and Skills that are effective when Matrix Teamworking
